Please see the event calendar for additional details on upcoming pro bono opportunities.
NCAPA members are encouraged to participate in Pro Bono work and other volunteer opportunities in the Washington metropolitan area. Any NCAPA member who dedicates 24 hours or more a year towards volunteer legal services is recognized by both NCAPA and NFPA.
Pro Bono Committee
The Pro Bono Committee locates legal service pro bono and other volunteer opportunities in DC, Northern Virginia, and Suburban Maryland. This committee works with local bar associations and non-profit agencies to participate in existing programs or to develop new training and volunteer opportunities for interested NCAPA members.
The Pro Bono Committee members serve as key contacts for various pro bono volunteer opportunities in the DC metro area. We encourage all NCAPA members to actively participate in pro bono events.
NCAPA members who participate in pro bono activities, either through their respective places of employment or through their own initiatives, should report their pro bono hours to NCAPA using the information below. Those who dedicate 24 hours or more towards volunteer legal services are recognized by both NCAPA and its national affiliate, NFPA, for their contributions to the DC metro area's needy residents.
