The Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Committee is responsible for providing educational and informational programs to paralegals in the DC metro area. NCAPA's CLE Program presents multiple courses annually, in addition to its biennial Education Conference. NCAPA's CLE Committee strives to offer continuing education courses that provide the practical knowledge needed to perform your job with greater skill and effectiveness. In addition, these courses afford opportunities to network and gain insights from your peers.
Although the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia do not require paralegals to complete continuing legal education courses, NCAPA encourages its members to complete at least six hours of CLE credits per year, including at least one hour of CLE credits in ethics. The majority of the courses are designed to meet the CLE standards of the National Federation of Paralegal Associations (NFPA).
Take a look at the Event Calendar for courses currently scheduled.
Members who would like to assist the CLE Committee in planning future events or checking people in at registration for current events, should contact cle@ncapa.com. If you are interested in sponsoring, hosting, or presenting a course, please contact the CLE Program Coordinator also at cle@ncapa.com.
